On 25 February 2009 the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, in pursuance of powers conferred upon him by sections 447 and 453A of the Companies Act 1985, authorised officers of Companies Investigation Branch to investigate the affairs of the company. After conclusion of this investigation the Secretary of State filed a petition to wind up the company in the public interest. The grounds for seeking the winding up order were:-

- The company had been under the management of Stuart Andrew Yates, an undischarged bankrupt and a person disqualified from acting as a company director pursuant to the provisions of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986.

- The recorded director of the company, Tracey Knight, was not involved in the management or control of the company.

-Other than Miss Knight the company's officers failed to co-operate with the investigation.

-The company failed to keep adequate accounting records contrary to section 221 of the Companies Act 1985.

-The company paid the personal liabilities of Mr Yates and of linked companies, and its business and funds have been intermingled with that of Mr Yates and these linked companies.

-The company has failed to file annual returns and accounts at Companies House.

-The company has been without properly appointed officers since 23 June 2008, has ceased trading and appears to have been abandoned.

-The company appears to be insolvent.

The company was wound up on 20 January 2010 and the Official Receiver is liquidator.
