Sharetech Direct Ltd was incorporated on 21 February 2008.
The company commenced trading shortly thereafter as a provider of computer software linked to stock market information.
On 27 May 2009, officers of Companies Investigation Branch were authorised, pursuant to Section 447(3) of the Companies Act 1985, to commence enquiries into the affairs of the company.
The Official Receiver was appointed Provisional Liquidator on 26 August 2009, on the application of the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills following a submission by Companies Investigation Branch that the company was operating outside the public interest. |
