The Company commenced trading around May 2006 as a commision agent for the sale of mobile telephone contracts and a seller of mobile phone accessories. It ceased trading as such in December 2006 but thereafter resumed as a textile retailer.
On 22nd January 2009 the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills authorised officers from Companies Investigation branch to investigate the company under powers conferred by section 447 (3) of the companies act 1985. Following this investigation the Secretary of State issued a petition to wind up the company in the public interest. The grounds for winding up the company were:- 1. Abandonment/Lacl of transparency/Lack of stewardship.
2. Filing false accounts.
3. Failure to maintain and/or deliver up adequate accounting records.
4. Lack of co-operation during the investigation.
5. Insolvency. |
