Previously, on the presentation of the winding up petition, on 8 June 2009, Mr S Cork and Mr N Hickling of Smith & Williamson Ltd were appointed as joint provisional liquidators of the company. On 22 July 2009 the Secretary of State appointed Mr S Cork and Mr N Hickling as joint liquidators.

The company traded as an independent financial advisor and attracted investors for what was claimed to be for the purpose of providing bridging finance in respect of properties purchased by a well known organisation.
